Every now and then, someone will email support or post a review asking what words like “gonzo” mean. For those who aren’t veteran porn junkies or fans of the good Doctor, there are a lot of terms and acronyms that aren’t immediately obvious. Read on for a short list of the most puzzled over words.



ATM: Short for ass-to-mouth. That’s kind of a mouthful, so you can see why they shortened it. ATM occurs when something is inserted into someone’s ass and then immediately inserted into someone’s mouth. Luckily, most actresses douche before anal scenes.

BBW: Short for big beautiful women. BBW encompasses everything from chubby to morbidly obese, though the BBW fans I know like something toward the middle.

Gonzo: The meaning of the term “gonzo” has been diluted to some degree since John Stagliano invented it. In a gonzo movie, the camera is an acknowledged part of the scene. That usually comes in the form of the cameraman (who is often the director) talking to the girls or actually having sex with them. Gonzo also encompasses scenes where girls are obviously playing to the camera.

POV: Short for point-of-view. POV movies are filmed from the perspective of the male performer. Which can be nice if you like to imagine yourself in the driver’s seat, so to speak.

Squirting: Although the subject of much controversy, squirting means female ejaculation. My take: squirting’s real, but not all porn girls who claim to be able to do it can. There is rampant faking. Check out girls like Cytherea, Flower Tucci and Tianna Lynn if you want to see the real thing.
