Many celebs are panned when they are vulnerable, e.g., dealing with issues, downs, etc. Jenna, the porn-media-darling of not so many years ago, I suppose, like many female celebrities, is freaking because she’s getting old.Is Jameson really the predominent force behind the apparent push of porn into the mainstream? Well, she certainly knows the business. Her flicks always have been wildly popular and profitable. She produced/directed some of her porn, like, I Dream of Jenna, Jenna’s Provocateur, Bella Loves Jenna, etc. Not unimportantly, Club Jenna is a major player in cyberporn. It’s worth noting that, in spite of the goofy nature of porn movies, they still have to be made, with camera crews, set designers, wardrobe, etc. I don’t think that producing and directing is a no-brainer; Jameson can’t be running on empty.Whether Jameson truly has “crossed over” is debatable. Some consider her to be a mainstream celebrity because: she attended the red-carpet premiere of NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice”; was featured in an advertisement for iRiver; appearanced in, among others, The Apprentice, The Simple Life, The Tyra Banks Show, The O’Reilly Factor, Family Guy, Da Ali G Show; and, “acted” in some non-porn movies. Very well written commentary Alison. I totaly agree that Jenna’s time in the spotlight has come and gone, and she can’t stand it. So now she has to come out and try to make herself someone inportant again. It’s really very sad.

Honestly who cares!!! If the woman wants to leave porn then so be it, if she doesnt enjoy the work any more then more power to her, I honestly am not going to lose any sleep over this, because last time I checked their were hotter porn stars then Jenna Jamison, especially now that she looks like a scare crow…

She quit because she can’t compete against new talent: Naomi Russell, Velicity Von, Missy Monroe, etc…Its 2008, there is no room for scripted porn; it’s about performance. And just for the record, she looks like crap in that picture anyways.

Chance – What people are having a problem with is not that she is retiring, but how she worded it. The statement “I will never ever ever spread my legs again in this industry ever” is awfully contemptuous considering everything she has and is comes from “spreading [her] legs in this industry”.
